xmas is coming
This past weekend we broke our piggy bank (literally a piggy) with the change we went hunting for x-mas decorations and eventually settled to craft some of our own which was very gratifying as I know there won't be another one that looks like it.

we took the provision of separating all the change into easily verifiable bags with tags like 100$ and 200$ the cashier only had to check the first bag before trusting that what we said was accurate.

but on the other hand my mother in law suffered an extortion attempt someone called her claiming to be her son and that he was kidnapped, fortunately even though he lives in another state they were able to contact him and confirm that he was ok still it was quite a scare for them.

the authorities claim that crimes have lowered at an impressive rate which makes me doubt if only denounced crimes were lower we did our civic duty and reported the incident even though I don't have much faith that the culprits will be caught.
